Join us for a breakfast celebrating the best of Exmoor produce.
As part of Exmoor Food Fest next month (February, 2018), we’re hosting our Moor Breakfast on Saturday, February 10 and the menu includes Exmoor bacon, sausages and eggs, as well as the chance to meet a wine producer from the area.
The 2018 Exmoor Food Fest, which runs from February 1 until 28, showcases the very best the region has to offer diners and it is a celebration of all the local produce and the culinary expertise we have here on our doorstep and close by.
As part of the event, we decided to do something a little bit different this year by hosting a breakfast and giving you the chance to meet a wine producer who is based just two miles from our pub.
We’re inviting you to come and join us at 10.30am on Saturday, February 10 for a full Exmoor breakfast, kicking off with a glass of sparkling wine from Wellhayes Vineyard in Clayhanger. Simon Routh, the owner and producer, will also give an informative talk about the exceptional wine he produces and about making wine here in Devon.
The breakfast menu, which costs £14 per person, includes Bampton’s Butcher Shop bacon, Donald and Mary Shere’s sausages, Exe Valley Eggs, Bampton game pheasant and marmalade sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, our own homemade baked beans, Bampton’s Bawdens the Bakers bread for toast, black pudding, tea and coffee and Frobishers fruit juice from Exeter.
We will also be running special menus as part of Exmoor Food Fest on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes and evenings, excluding Valentine’s Day, during February 2018 only with two courses priced £12.50 and three courses £17.50.
The Moor Breakfast takes place here from 10.30am on Saturday, February 10 and is priced £14 per person.
