Garlic – the power of good

GarlicOne of our most used ingredients is of course, garlic! It’s every chef’s go to and as well as making our dishes super tasty, it’s also good for you.

Bad for breath, good for your health…

Garlic contains Allicin, which has antifungal and antibacterial properties. It has traditionally been used as a remedy for sore throats because of this.

It’s also packed with vitamins C, B6, selenium and manganese, which are all very helpful when it comes to boosting our immune systems.

Research has also shown that it can help decrease osteoarthritis in women and it also contains compounds that have been found to help protect cells in the heart and to lower blood pressure.

Be generous with the garlic

So, the next time you’re cooking yourself a meal, make sure you are generous with the garlic and add a couple of extra cloves. You’ll find it in many of our dishes from our menu.
